| Cygnar vs Menoth:
My List: Lt Caine Thunderhead Lancer Stormguard Gunmages
Neils Menoth: Epic Feora castigator Dervish Temple flame guard 2 other lights I have forgotten the name of (the one with the spear and shield who protects the caster and the flame thrower and mace light) - repenter, devout Choir
Turn 1 Neil got first turn and cast escort with Feora and combustion of the castigator and then just moved everything up and the choir sang the no shooting song.
I ran the lancer up to right in front of Neil's light Devout and then Caine thunderstruck it over Feora knocking both of them down but unfortunately only doing about 3 damage to her as she was camping focus. I then advanced the stormguard up ready to take a charge from Neil's jacks that were getting v close to being able to flank me.
Turn 2 Feora stood up but didn't do much else beyond that. The Castigator moved in and slapped about the lancer quite badly though not enough to box it. The choir sang +2 power and attack and then flamethrower jack advanced and tried to torch the stormblades to get extra focus for feora but due to the +2 damage all the ones hit died straight away leaving 4 standing.
The remaining stormblades charged the crusader and did a fair bit of damage to it knocking off a few arms and the cortex but still able to flameburst them next turn. The thunderhead then advanced used it's electric pulse and in the best example ever of shooting myself in the foot caught caine in the pulse knocking 11 health off him and killing 3 gunmages. It did also however hit feora for a few points and then the sustained attack kicked in and the next lightening bolt then did a whopping 18 damage to feora ending the game (luckily for caine who only had 3hp left himself).
Pretty certain there was some shooting between the gunmages and temple flame guard at some point too though I forget which turn and since it didn't so anything is kind of by the by anyway.

| 2nd game was against Steve who had: - Montenebra + pet skarlock - Nightmare - Slayer - Seether - Little arc node jack
Turn 1 Steve went first and moved a lot of things very quickly up the board due to a combination of running and spells that let them move as ethereal so they could just run through all the scenery.
Caine cast snipe and deadeye on the gunmages who then advanced forward and started to blast away at the light cryx jack leaving it with just one box.
Turn 2 The nightmare started to move off to side and montenebra ran towards the light jack to try and fix it but just fell short. The slayer charged the gunmages and made a mess of them thanks to terminal velocity leaving one in engaged and one skulking round the edges.
The gunmage in combat took the freestrike and unsurprisingly died and then other one popped off a shot at the light jack boxing it. The lancer ran trying to intercept the nightmare but just fell short (in retrospect not that it would have mattered since it turns out ethereal models can't be free struck)
The stormblades advanced and shot at the slayer but the damage was spreadout across a number of systems and none of them were lost.
Turn 3. Montebra cast terminal velocity and the one that lets them move when another model kills something (might be called deathdrive). The slayer trampled through the stormblades though luckily only killed a couple of them. The freestrike resulting from the trample again didn't do much at all really. As the slayer had killed something though Steve was then able to move the nightmare towards Caine which then following that move charged him and with all the bonuses e.g. prey etc caught him. With terminal velocity boosting all the hit rolls against the living (for that moment anyway) Caine his high def didn't help him too much and unfortunately it turns out the nightmare only needs to hit Caine a couple of times due his paper thin armour and so victory went to Steve.
Neal and Steve if I have missed anything out of these (a distinct possibility) just pop it in.

| I have edited our game, the heavy Castigator 2 flame fists Repenter Flamer and chain wpn Devout Shield and Spear That was such a close game!! When the Thunderhead rolled for damage against Caine, Andy rolled 2 6's, he then rolled V's Feora, boosted, amazingly rolling 3 6's the little blighter, that was the killler move of the game, and it paid off. Beware the Thunderheads pulse kids | |
