| Why dont you put a list up here of what is in your 1000pt army, and we could have a look and see what improvements we could help you with, and what to pick up next | |

| That looks like a very fast moving army. I think a Rhino or 2 will compliment it very well. This would allow you to get all your tactical space marines to objectives or to the enemy.
devestators to give cover fire, landspeeders and bikes moving fire support. Get the marines stuck in!
Want to see it fully pained soon as well, it looks good so far, but once you have the basic colours on, start picking out the details, like eyes.

| The problem with fighting Tau i find with space marines is finding a way to circumvent the Tau's capacity to not even have to move after deploying and turning the battlefield into a wasteland while you march through the storm. Obviously my daemons deepstrike in so a squad would have to be lucky with dice rolls to wipe out the unit before it charges in and pancakes them in assault, but as Neal said, Rhinos will really help them a bunch getting closer, and of course- terrain is your friend against shooting heavy lists, use it when you can so your units can survive longer. And of course, the Tau are so shooting oriented Watch the firewarriors break like so many egg shells in assault, crisis suits can be awkward with their special rule that lets them disengage from close combat but they'll go down like the rest (also great targets for the devestators i reckon) given some grit and luck with the almighty random number generators.
And on another note- consider a drop-pod; i've heard of some horrible things that drop pods can do; probably because its a squad of spess mehreens or a dread with improved armour effectively deepstriking but has a rule which protects it from coming to harm if it lands on terrain, and for units... Well its a large lump of adamantium/ceramite traveling at a terminal velocity so i'm going to assume it does splash damage to units that it lands on- it makes sense rly. Oh and the drop pod has its own gun and pretty sure it doubles as cover for its spacey cargo when they deploy from it. Least you'd still get rolls against the likes of fusion blasters! (not forgetting that instant death occurs when a unit fails its save, never before)

| if speed is whats needed, then the rhinos will help even more, plus the razorback. Generally speaking metul bawkses move faster than infantry (an old Marine tactic i've been on the receiving end of one time as Necrons was a Space wolves army almost entirely in rhinos that sped towards my line using the gratuitous amount of cover to stop me taking potshots, and disgorged their vicious melee puppy cargo not far from my line; my warriors were soon removed ) | |

| Is that one of the 30 odd Space marine semi-special characters that GW thrown in? Pretty sure it is Is he a tactical marine dude with lightning claws, or is it the tank commander? I'm never quite sure nowadays GW adding so many sort-of-special characters to Fantasy and 40k, Dark elves in fantasy have 8 characters up from 3 but thats beside the point. | |

| Not too sure which one he is as couldn't find it on the gw site but if it's speed and objectives you're after I'd definately go for drop pods. Money wise they cost the same as rhino (and not a land raider like i thought) and they are a lot more survivable being all over 14 armour. | |

| Bike Squads are always good too. As a Space wolf I get Blood Claws (Assault troops) on bikes. Someone charing at you with close combat weapons on a bike with twin linked bolters | |

| One tactic of yester-year, although I think the new ed has nerf'ed it somewhat, was combat squads in Razorbacks and lots of em!
I would def recomend Bolter and Chainsword, they have a good community over there.
One thing I would say though is to pay more attention to your posts. Use proper grammar, spelling and don't use "text speak"
It makes posts easier to read and people, particularly on bigger forums like B&C, will be more willing to offer help.

| Razorbacks are amazing, and really customisable. The reason why they are now nerfed, is that Space Marines cannot assault out of them anymore. Thankfully. It is still a very viable tactic since the small squad sizes doesnt really affect Space Marines too much, and it means more Missile Launchers | |
