Changes to the club.

Hello there fellow club members...

After a little bit of discussion between Andy, Neal and myself, we are looking to push the club "onwards and upwards"

We need to get as many ideas together of how to improve things.

This could range from changing the club name, to something a bit more snappy, introducing membership benefits to those who would be willing to pay subs in advance, an age limit for new members joining the club, the list goes on and on.

Basicly this thread is here for you to post any and all ideas you have. No matter how stupid you think it may be post away, whats the worst that could happen?

I reckon some way to keep track of what games different people play, you know: so many ppl who come here play Warhammer 40k, this many ppl play Warmachine, and this bunch of ppl play magic: The Gathering etc
It could lay the foundations to slightly more organized play maybe?
But then again there would be the issue of people not coming down one night or not coming back at all, which of course is bad, Schools/exams etc too so it may be a little awkward at times- i dunno....

I think knowing what people play will be a great way to get more of a idea of where we are as a club, particularly with the kids.

What does everyone think about the need to have a pre-arranged game?

One of the biggest problems I see week in week out is that we only ever have one or two games on the go at once with a good 5 or 6 people doing nothing.

Also has anybody got any ideas of how we can look at growing club membership, preferably with more mature gamers (14/15+)

wooahh there Stev-o thats a cygnar name - do you realise how much jip we would get with Menoth/Cryx/Gaydor army, and a Cygnar unit on our shirts!!!!

doesn't have to be Cygnar! lol, noted it edges towards Cygnar however, you could have a blight storm, a fire storm, a death storm, a err- destructive metal storm blah blah blah into infinity and beyond

shame, its got me thinking of an enemy fighter/bomber class from 1997 Colony wars called 't-29 Stormlord'
Speaking of which, wonder if there's any things i can nab adapt from there...

What about organising in club tournaments?

Also organising introductory games to expand on what people play?

I also think winsford warhawks is a very fun name !! we could go to tournaments with our custom t-shirts with a hawk as the emblem and american warpaint !

We are going to do some open days at Northwich library on two Saturdays over the Easter holidays, hopefully if you are available for a few hours . . .
