| ok - first up, here is the gnereal technique i used for my vampire counts. Although they are still sat on teh side unfinished :-/ http://www.paintingclinic.com/operations/guestarticles/skeletons1.htmI t is a very simple method, and goes on using a white undercoat, with a WASH not ink (a wash is matt, ink is gloss) of maybe flesh wash or other brown-ish. You can always darken it as you want. Here is another site, that not only has amazing figures, but sellss them as well. The tutorials and tips are for the average joe painer like you and me, which is really helpful http://www.coolminiornot.com/articleHave you managed to get yourself into a gaming group over there? didnt you say you were coming back soon as well? | |

| THe brown looks like a white undercoat with several washed of brown.
The blue looks like the same technique, with blue ink. Ink makes the skin a little gloss.
When using inks and washes like this, think them down further, and put a little soap inn there as well. This will make the water even more runny
With you painting of skeletons, I found that it looked better to have the shading either all black or all brown, not a mix of both. For the desert, a lighter brown is what I would choose
Hope all this helps, and be flippin careful when you come over to maybe get a courier with a big FRAGILE sticker on your box.
Do you have a job in Canda? Have you managed to get yourself skiing? Whistler is a good place to get yourself to, but anywhere is good over there.
Are there many gaming clubs, or locals lads you know who play? | |

| I think the Settra in the link puts my Chaos Daemon Soul Grinder's paint job to shame Skeletons are such a bother to paint, Necrons i was able to cheat with them being machines, but i'd experiment a bit with drybrushing a brown onto the bones (or a heavily watered down brown wash/ink), it may not come out right first few times but once you got something that works, you can glide through the rest of it in the future the wheels on that linked chariot look uncompromisingly like Tinbitz (or Brazen brass? GW stopped doing Brazen brass months ago so i can't even remember the exact colour of it) | |
