tau marine hybrid

hi all of u out ther who likes warhammer40k especaily sapce and tau fans me EWAN and jordan are making a hybrid between space marine and tau ther called tau marine ther pretty cool any one post wat they think or qestions plz post i will be happy to help

Tau that aren't cut down like stalks of wheat in assault you mean? Definitely a venture worth considering
Tyranids allow custom beasties to be fielded (least, the US GW site has data on that like 2 years ago i'm too lazy to go look again), space marines can have custom chapters, Chaos too etc etc and someone somewhere made rules to field a... Kirby. Yes, THE Kirby.

But Tau marines, are they Tau that have been selected by pioneering Earth caste scientists to try and create warriors that can reliably stand against the power armoured juggernauts and other things that are good at chopping Tau up like stew meat (or Pan frying them like Sea Bass, if its sisters of battle), or traitors to the Imperium? (they must of had some shoddy conditioning while training to be proper marines for the latter to be true! )

Cant the Tau takeover other planets and use the local population, like they have with the Kroot and Vespids...

maybe thats the start of the story right there.

I don't think Tau "taking over" Space Marines would work.

SM's aren't the type to be subjugated if you see what I mean!

However one idea thay may would be a particular company that has witnessed some particular event that means they have lost faith in their chapter, humanity or the emperor.

It would have to be a pretty big thing though!

Don't forget that SM's really are all that is "good" in humanity. Because of their gene-seed they are effectivly descended from the emperor and I reckon it would be highly unlikely they would deviate from the imperium.

However it has happened before, to the soul drinkers, have a look to see if you can find the novels that GW did about them, they are quite a good read by all accounts.

Happened with the Relictors. They got pushed out because the inquisition didn't like what the chapter was researching so you could have another way in there as the marines would potentially be forced to join with the tau to preserve the chapter.

Maybe they ally against a greater evil..Chaos, Tyranids. Space Marine falls in lurve, as they realise they been hanging around with other blokes for too long.

Space Marines then get chatting to the in-laws, mentioning the local Territorial FireWarrior teams.

Either way there's bound to be a serious hatred rule going on between purist space marines and Tau space marines, even more so then between Gue'vesa auxillaries and purist Imperial guardsmen considering the stubbornness of the Emprah's finest

Space Marines found out they are test tube babies, disgruntled that their adopted parents for choosing the cheaper Human laboratory, they went to the posh Tau labs to see if they can get corrective theropy for anger management.

Space Marine sees a job advert for a security guard at the local Earth-Caste supermarket....and the rest is history

If any space marines need anger management its the Blood ravens with their black rage problem

The Tau offered help and most of the chapter were disgusted by the Xenos attempt of 'trickery' but the Tau were able to correct the black rage problem in those who had accepted the help, now declared heretics they had little choice but to repay the Tau for correcting their gene seed defect (also giving the Earth caste a good look at what makes Spess mehrens so speshul )
