Magic: the Gathering help Empty
PostSubject: Magic: the Gathering help   Magic: the Gathering help Empty12/10/2009, 2:08 pm

I fially turned 16 yesterday, and s have a bit of money which i will be spending on some Magic cards...
Except i have no idea what works well in a deck... scratch
So i figured, instead of sifting through loads of annoying badly worded reviews on things that are irrelevant, (looking at you, google)
why dont i ask you guys for any reccomendations or cards that work particularly well, i'm thinking of building a green deck, perhaps with some white thrown in but other than that i'm open to suggestions.
(Also, Andy, really really sorry about the posters i havent been in school all week (tummy bug) so i wasnt able to do it .... will make it up somehow.....)
Okay, well go wild, guys!

1st question would be what sort of green/white deck to you want to build? They can do big creatures, swarms, insane amount of life gain (tends to rely just on outlasting opponent to win though) or a mix of anything inbetween. You can also build control/denial decks though they tend to work best as blue+white decks.

I think I'd probably go for the massive monsters route, there's nothing better than pummeling people into submission, but the life gain route seems cool too.
I think that maybe a mix of those two factors would be cool.

Well the recent shards of alara block had a bunch of big creatures and big creature mechanics so that might be a good starting place (from shards they didn't do theme decks so in addition to the naya box you would need some boosters too, to get some more naya cards). Ask Curbi on Tuesday to run you through the Naya deck he has built and see if it's what you fancy.
